You may recognise this

Grief and change don't follow a schedule

Mourning is a natural part of love and loss — not something to be fixed. But sometimes the weight doesn't ease, and support can help. You may recognise some of this.

Grief that isn't lifting

Time has passed, yet the loss feels as heavy as the first week — and you're not sure how to carry it.

Numbness

A flatness where feeling used to be — going through the motions, disconnected from the day.

Struggling to function

After a loss or separation, the ordinary tasks of life feel heavier than they should.

Isolation

Pulling away from the people around you, even when part of you wishes you didn't have to.

How Dr. Salem helps

Common questions

Before you reach out

Grief is a natural response to loss, and there's no timetable for it. Support isn't about removing grief — it's about not having to carry it entirely alone, and recognising if low mood or anxiety has set in alongside it.

No. This support is for any major life transition — bereavement, divorce or separation, or significant upheaval that has left you struggling.

That's completely understandable. A first, unhurried conversation can simply be a place to talk things through — there's no obligation beyond that.

Adults aged 18 and over exclusively, in English or Arabic.
